Are you an authorized JennAir service provider?

No. We're an independent repair service, not affiliated with JennAir. If your JennAir appliance is still under the manufacturer's warranty, check with JennAir first; once it's out of warranty, we diagnose it by model and serial number and use genuine OEM parts when they're available.

Should I close the old shutoff valve behind my refrigerator before the visit?

Only if it turns easily. Valves in older Spring Valley homes can seize or break when forced. If the refrigerator is leaking and the valve won't budge, shut off the home's main supply instead. A plumber can replace a failing valve, and the refrigerator repair can be finished afterward.

How can I reduce hard-water spots from my Spring Valley dishwasher?

Choose a detergent formulated for hard water, keep the rinse aid dispenser full and run a cleaning cycle every month. Set the hardness level if your model offers one. If spots persist alongside weak cleaning, the spray arms or heating element may be scaled and worth inspecting.

Can one oven of a double wall unit be repaired separately?

Usually, yes. Each oven has its own elements, sensors and often its own relays, so a diagnosis isolates which component failed and the working oven is left alone. Some double ovens share a control board, which gets tested if both cavities show symptoms at the same time.

JennAir Dishwashers

Hard water defines dishwasher wear in Spring Valley. Mineral scale builds on the heating element, clogs spray arm holes and narrows the inlet valve screen, so cleaning and drying performance fade a little at a time. Shared drain setups add a second weak point, since food waste from the disposal can back into the dishwasher's drain hose. Rental units also suffer from filters that are rarely cleaned between tenants.

Known JennAir weak point: Drain pump faults

JennAir Oven / Ranges

In a Rhodes Ranch kitchen, the upper oven of a double wall unit might heat normally while the lower one stays cold, with no error on the display. Each cavity has its own elements and sensors, so a failed bake element or a relay on the board serving the lower oven is a likely cause. Testing each component isolates the fault without replacing parts that still work.

Known JennAir weak point: Downdraft blower faults

About JennAir

JennAir began in Indianapolis in 1947 and became known as the brand that popularized downdraft ventilation, pulling cooking smoke down through the cooktop rather than up into a hood. Since 2006 it has been part of Whirlpool, which acquired it with Maytag. Today JennAir sells built-in and column refrigeration, wall ovens, ranges, cooktops, dishwashers, wine and beverage centers and microwaves, positioned at the luxury end of Whirlpool's lineup.

Houses, Condos, Rentals & Garages

Spring Valley's housing changes block by block, and refrigerator installations follow. Apartment and condo complexes typically supply top-freezer or side-by-side models in compact kitchens. Homes around The Lakes and Canyon Gate, now approaching forty years old, often hold replacements set into original openings, sometimes fed by water lines run behind the cabinets decades ago. In Rhodes Ranch, larger kitchens may feature counter-depth or built-in refrigerators, with a second unit out in the garage.
